Best Overall Fitness Tracker for Kettlebell Workouts: Fitbit Versa 2

Fitbit Versa 2 Health and Fitness Smartwatch with...

The Fitbit Versa 2 is a hybrid of a fitness tracker and smartwatch. Fitbit specializes in tracking fitness and workout features. Unlike regular fitness trackers where you start an exercise routine by using the exercise app on the watch, the Fitbit Versa 2 can detect and record your workout activities automatically.

The SmartTrack feature is great in tracking workouts. Just remember that if you want to go do some outdoor activities, you need to have your phone with you so the GPS can record your location.

When doing kettlebell workouts and tracking it using the Fitbit Versa 2, you can check your messages, calendar notifications, play music, and control your smart home setup. This makes multi-tasking a lot more efficient.

You can choose from the “weights” or “workout” option to track your kettlebell workouts. We found “weights” to be more effective in tracking kettlebell workouts. It also produces accurate statistics for other exercise routines like swim tracking.

However, when you talk about distance tracking like a bike ride, we found the Fitbit Versa 2 lacking since it doesn’t give you the exact distance traveled and measures your stride length.

After a long day of workout and kettlebell routines, the Fitbit Versa 2 can also help you with your recovery tracking your sleep. It’s light and comfortable enough for you to wear during sleep. The Sleep Score feature takes into consideration how long you’ve been awake, your light and deep sleep duration, restlessness, and REM sleep and produce reliable numbers.

However, if you want to check the complete breakdown of the score, your low heart rate during sleep, restless levels, percentage of REM, light, and deep sleep, you need to subscribe to Fitbit Premium.

The design of the Fitbit Versa 2 is similar to its predecessor with a “squircle” design. However, the Fitbit Versa 2 have some small upgrades that make it different and stylish from the previous model.

The Fitbit Versa 2 is an excellent pickup for a reasonably priced smartwatch. It’s stylish and has a fabulous display that makes it look premium and on-par with high-end smartwatches. It has built-in Alexa which makes this model a great multi-tasking, hybrid fitness tracker for kettlebell workouts and other exercise routines.

Best for the Money Fitness Tracker for Kettlebell Workouts: Fitbit Charge 3

Fitbit Charge 3 Fitness Activity Tracker,...

Even though the Fitbit Charge 3 came out last 2018, it still remains one of the best for the money fitness tracker in the market. The Fitbit Charge 3 also tracks heart rate really well and blood oxygen levels through an SP02 sensor that can also monitor sleep patterns.

The goal tracking feature can help you set specific goals for your kettlebell workouts and other exercises. This will indicate how much you need to do to complete the goal and it will vibrate once you reached that goal. You can set goals for metrics like distance, calories, or time for over 15 different types of exercises.

The Fitbit Charge 3 can also notify you when you hit certain benchmarks. For instance, if you set a goal of 2 miles, it can notify you every half a mile. It will also remind you to work on reaching your goal if you haven’t reached it yet.

The Fitbit Charge 3 doesn’t come with a built-in GPS so you’ll need a smartphone to pair it with for tracking distance. The Fitbit Charge 3 has a large battery and many sensors that made incorporating a GPS difficult.

It also doesn’t support music connectivity. You can only play music through your smartphone. Fitbit is working on adding music controls for 3rd-party apps through software updates. This might take a long time so don’t hold your breath.

However, the heart rate sensor is top-notch. It produces similar results from manually measuring your beats per minute. The Fitbit Charge 3 can last you about 7 days at full charge even while doing tasks like receiving notifications, track workouts, and sleep tracking. Since it doesn’t use power-intensive features and 3rd party apps, its battery can last you a long time.

Overall, the Fitbit Charge 3 is a reliable fitness tracker with excellent tracking accuracy. Features like smartwatch notifications and a battery that can last you a long time make the Fitbit Charge 3 the best for the money fitness tracker for kettlebell workouts.

Best Cheap Fitness Tracker for Kettlebell Workouts: Xiaomi Mi Band 4

Xiaomi Mi Band 4

The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is the king of the budget fitness trackers. Xiaomi has been known to produce quality electronic products at a cheaper price compared to the top manufacturers.

Xiaomi’s Mi Band 4 is a hyped and popular product from Xiaomi and for good reason. It offers similar features from other fitness trackers but at a significantly cheaper cost.

It retains the same design and aesthetics with some additional features. The screen now sports a 0.95-inch full-color AMOLED display, an upgrade from the previous model. It also has a 2.5D curve on the screen and anti-fingerprint coating.

The Mi Band 4 does the basics of what a fitness track does. It tracks your steps, distance traveled, calories burned, resting and active heart rates, and sleep. However, it needs a phone if you want an accurate GPS for tracking distance.

It works well with kettlebell workouts for measuring calories burned and other exercise workouts. It also has a number of workout modes so if you want to switch up from your kettlebell workouts then you can still use your Mi Band 4.

The heart rate tracker is okay but it could do a better job. The numbers were close to the manual numbers produced from measuring beats per minute.

The Mi Band 4 is also good for multitasking as it has some smartwatch features. You can read notifications such as call, text, and email. You can customize the vibration pattern that will help you identify what the notification is without looking at the watch.

If you need a cheap fitness tracker then Mi Band 4 can give that to you with a lot more added features.

The design should feel comfortable during kettlebell workouts. Most users of fitness trackers report breaking their trackers because the kettlebells come into contact with their wrists.

Some fitness trackers are durable but this shouldn’t be a problem. Just to be on the safe side, placing the screen of your tracker on the inside of your wrists can reduce the chances of it getting damaged.

Look for fitness trackers that are comfortable to wear during kettlebell workouts. They shouldn’t also be prone to breaking so opting for a  small design can reduce the chances.

Fitness Tracking

The fitness tracker should have great features for kettlebell workouts. Tracking your calories burned and other statistics is great to adjust your kettlebell workouts.

It should also be useful to have additional tracking for other workout routines. Things like running, biking, resistance training, are also important if you work out in different ways.

Productivity Features

Smartwatch features help you keep up with a busy lifestyle while keeping yourself fit. Being able to multi-task during your kettlebell workouts can relieve you from the stress piling up from work and other things.
